You might think Marcus Fleming has the perfect life. He’s eleven, lives in a giant house, and has pretty much everything he could ever want. But things aren’t quite as awesome as they seem. Marcus is always trying to impress his dad—and somehow, he always feels like he’s coming up just a little short.
Then one very weird day changes everything.
After holding the door open for a pale, shaky stranger, Marcus gets “thanked” with a massive sneeze—right in his face. Gross, right? But it gets even stranger. Soon, Marcus discovers that the gooey green slime has given him unbelievable (and kind of disgusting) powers: he can blast radioactive mucus from his nose and mouth!
After practicing his new abilities (and trying not to gag), Marcus creates a secret superhero identity: Mucus Phlegmball. He’s determined to keep his powers hidden… until trouble hits town.
When a gang of mutant squirrels starts causing chaos, Marcus knows he can’t just sit back. But being a hero is a lot harder—and scarier—than he imagined. What if he messes up?
With no one else to turn to, Marcus shares his secret with his loyal best friend, Chunk, and the mysterious Dr. B.—the very scientist whose sneeze started it all. Together, they dive into wild, messy adventures filled with radioactive snot, time travel, and plenty of surprises.
But as the danger grows, so do Marcus’s fears. Can he find the courage to believe in himself—and become the hero his town needs?
